Shelby and Riley’s wedding day at the beautiful Historic Blum Barn was one of those days that instantly felt joyful from the very beginning. From the moment they were together, there was laughter, playfulness, and an ease between them that made photographing their day such a gift.

Those in-between moments—the smiles that turn into laughter and the laughter that turns into quiet connection—are always some of my favorites, and their gallery is full of them. Their joy wasn’t posed; it was simply who they are together.

One of the most fun and personal parts of their day was their combined wedding theme inspired by Beauty and the Beast and Up. It was a perfect reflection of their love for storytelling, adventure, and romance. A truly special detail was the capes Shelby’s mom lovingly made for them, adding an extra layer of meaning and creativity to their celebration. It was one of those heartfelt touches that made their wedding feel uniquely them.

The day itself couldn’t have been more beautiful. With blue skies overhead, Shelby and Riley were married at the stunning Historic Blum Barn, a venue known for its charm, character, and iconic hip roof. Sadly, their wedding would be the final one held in that gorgeous barn. On January 9th, the barn tragically caught fire and burned to the ground. While it is heartbreaking to know such a historic and meaningful place is gone, there is something incredibly special about Shelby and Riley’s wedding being part of its story—forever preserved in photographs filled with love, laughter, and life.
