Why Wedding Consultations Matter

I believe wedding photography is about so much more than simply taking pictures. It’s about telling your love story, building a genuine connection, and preserving the beautiful, God-given moments that make your wedding day uniquely yours. And that process begins long before you walk down the aisle.
One of the of my roles as your wedding photographer is getting to know the vision you have for your wedding day. That’s why I offer complimentary wedding consultations to all of my clients. A consultation gives us the opportunity to sit down together, talk about your love story, and begin building the trust that allows me to capture your wedding day in a personal and meaningful way.

Your story matters to me, and our consultation is the beginning of how I help tell it.
During our consultation, we can talk about what is important to you for your wedding day, the moments you’re most excited about, and any concerns or questions you may have. We discuss your timeline, family photos list, special traditions, and the little details that make your celebration uniquely yours. These conversations help me prepare thoughtfully so I can be intentional when your wedding day arrives.
I also want you to feel confident that you’re choosing a photographer who truly cares about you—not just as a client, but as a couple beginning your life together. Photography is built on trust, and I want you to feel comfortable, valued, and cared for throughout the entire experience.

God has brought your two lives together for a reason, and it’s a blessing to hear your story and be invited into such a meaningful season of your lives. By taking the time to get to know you, at your wedding consultation, beforehand, I can better anticipate the moments that matter, capture your connection naturally, and preserve the love and joy that surround your wedding day.

So, when it’s time to schedule your wedding consultation with me, know that that hour together is about so much more than planning photographs. It’s an opportunity for us to slow down and begin building a relationship before one of the most important days of your life. That time allows me to serve you with greater intention and capture your wedding day in a way that feels genuine to who you are and the love you share. I truly believe that hour is well worth your time—and I’m always honored to spend it getting to know the two of you.
