This is life and love and all that it entails: photography that is unique to you!
Portrait photography has it's place, but when you want to preserve memories, documentary photography is what you and your family will go back to time after time. Documentary photography is unique in that it captures a family interacting. It puts in print the moments that you experience day in and day out with a toddler, or a newborn, or a teen.
Those days, those moments really are fleeting. If you don't have photos to help your remember how you sat on the bathroom floor while your toddler splashed a tub full of water all over the floor or playing ball with your four year old in the backyard, it really is difficult to remember just how they looked, laughed or pitched a fit.
In the years to come it will be the documentary photos that you children pull out of the keepsake box or the photo album they pull of the shelf. They will ask you to tell them about themselves when they were two, or six, or ten. It will start up conversation, bring back sweet memories, and remind you of the time when your babies, where babies. And trust me they are going to want to see you in those photos, too!
