By the time February rolls around winter can start to feel pretty dreary. The days seem to drag a bit more than they did when the newness of winter was first kissing the air.
A new blanket of snow always helps to re-invigorate and brighten the days. It definitely encourages some outdoor play and puts some color into pale cheeks.
As Bill Morgan Jr. said,
" Winter came down to our home one night Quietly pirouetting in on silvery-toed slippers of snow, And we, we were children once again."
There is magic in the snow that breathes serenity and beauty and newness. It opens the heart and eyes. It excites the soul. It awakens a new chapter in which all is but blank pages.
